The 2024-2025 state report card results are in, and Autauga County Schools (ACS) has plenty to celebrate this year! ACS earned an overall district score of 87, its highest since the COVID-19 pandemic and the second-highest since the state began tracking data under the current accountability system. This year's report card shows strong and steady growth across many schools with an increase of three points over the previous year.

Autauga County Schools celebrated the start of the winter sports season with its second annual Winter Sports Media Day, bringing together student-athletes, coaches, and administrators from across the district for a day of recognition, community, and pride. The anticipated event featured student-athletes and coaches from basketball, indoor track, wrestling, and bowling, building on the success of last year's inaugural event. Representing their schools and sports, teams from Billingsley High School, Marbury High School, and Prattville High School participated in the event.

Autauga County Schools proudly announces that Dr. Antjuan Marsh, the district’s Director of Secondary Curriculum, has been elected to serve as a Director for the Alabama Association of Secondary School Principals (AASSP), a division of the Council for Leaders in Alabama Schools (CLAS). As a CLAS AASSP Director, Dr. Marsh will represent secondary school administrators from across the state, providing leadership and guidance in advancing educational excellence and supporting professional growth among Alabama’s school leaders. In this role, Dr. Marsh will help shape initiatives that strengthen school leadership, influence statewide education policy, and promote student success at all levels.

School buses are the safest way for children to get to school, according to the American School Bus Council. Today’s school buses are built with safety in mind, designed to be safer than any passenger vehicle in avoiding crashes and preventing injuries. They are tougher, cleaner, and more diligently maintained than ever before. School buses play a critical role in the education of America’s students, with more than 25 million children riding them daily, serving as the direct link between a neighborhood and the classroom. In Autauga County Schools, buses transport approximately 4,600 students on more than 130 different buses to and from school every day.
