Superintendent Updates

Greetings from Superintendent Woodfin

Welcome to Autauga County Schools! I’m thrilled to lead the school system that I was fortunate to grow up in and the one that I’ve worked in for nearly two decades, having served as a classroom teacher, coach, and school administrator prior to being appointed Superintendent in July 2023. As the county’s only public school system, we serve nearly 9,000 students across 14 campuses in four distinct communities: Autaugaville, Billingsley, Pine Level / Marbury, and Prattville.

There are so many opportunities in front of us, but I have no doubt that when we all pull together for the benefit of your children, there is nothing that can stop us. I vow to use my personal and professional experiences to ensure that Autauga County Schools is a thriving system where all students are known and valued. I’ll champion the great work that is already happening in our schools and provide the support and guidance necessary to make any improvements standing in our way. The community’s support since that start of this school year has been a truly humbling experience. I know that the partnerships we’re building will forever imprint the educational experience in this district.

Join me on this journey as we work to continuously improve the educational experience for all Autauga County Schools students. Each month, I'll share what we're working on and what we anticipate on the horizon. In addition to the updates below, please connect with us on ParentSquare, the district's communication platform and social media pages.
